Nearly a hundred years ago, dance innovator Jack Cole dazzled New York and Chicago’s nightclub scene with a new, provocative style of entertainment. Cole’s unique fusion of world dance styles and Jazz music paved the way for much of the popular Jazz and Theater dance today, including the work of iconic legends Bob Fosse and Jerome Robbins. A century later, Cole’s spirit is coming to life once again; choreographer Camden Loeser’s company, The Jack Cole Dancers, brings work in the style of Cole’s original Club Act back to Manhattan’s nightlife.
